Kavli acquires El Taco Truck to strengthen its premium sauces and condiments portfolio

Kavli has acquired El Taco Truck, the premium food brand known for bringing genuine Mexican flavours from street-food culture into Nordic grocery retail.

The acquisition reflects Kavli’s strategy to expand its presence in premium, flavour-driven food categories by adding a brand with strong authenticity, loyal consumers and a distinctive positioning. El Taco Truck has built a reputation for high-quality sauces and Mexican staples, complementing Kavli’s long-standing strength in sauces and spreads across adjacent segments.

As part of the transaction, Kavli will support El Taco Truck by leveraging its industrial scale, procurement capabilities and production expertise to reduce manufacturing costs. In parallel, El Taco Truck will benefit from Kavli’s established retail relationships and internal sales organisation, enabling broader and faster distribution across the Nordic grocery market.
